Watershed Stewards Academy Initiative
Kit and Jenny summarized their meeting with Jim Foster at AWS. It was decided that there should be a daytime meeting in January that would include stormwater committee members, and other stake holders to discuss the possibility starting a version of the Watershed Stewards Academy which would include Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and the District. The geographical boundaries would be based on watersheds rather than counties.
Task Force
Catherine Tunis described the newly formed Task Force for Environmental Action. The Task Force will make its recommendations to the Takoma Park City Council in March. The Task Force is hoping to hear from homeowners as to any stormwater runoff hotspots.
