Litter Committee Minutes
March 6, 2006
Brent Bolin was there to give Outreach support.
- March 21st program meeting–We briefly discussed the lineup and how Ed and Debbie would discuss litter committee initiatives. Ed brought a board display in the works to use at this and the Trash Summit. We’ll get material to Brent for litter flyer.
- April cleanups
- need meeting for section leaders? No, save this for the Sweep.
- photo person? Have outreach person take photos per section.
- any petitions? If we can agree on an issue—will run by board.
Wendi will follow up about any sign boards from AWS for the 22nd. Need form email for section leaders to send around to neighborhood listservs. Outreach should contact church groups/scouts/schools, neighborhood listservs.
- Trash Summit—Ed and Debbie will be on a panel. Wendi and Debbie will try to network with people interested in the bottle bill.
- Work days for fence and skimmer installation—little time needed for installation of fence—Ed just quickly installed one. We’ll discuss any other work days at next meeting.
- Maintenance of skimmer—We’ll need to clean out after rain and perhaps once a month or more in spring/summer. We will discuss more at next meeting.
- Litter Committee web page—We discussed content ideas for livening up the page.
