Letter to the MDE supporting TDML for Trash
On March 1, 2006, Friends of Sligo Creek joined other watershed conservation organizations in sending a letter to Linda Watson of the Maryland Department of the Environment. We urged her to list to list the Anacostia river and its tributaries as impaired, and begin the process of developing a total maximum daily load (TMDL) for them. Hopefully this letter and the development of a TMDL for the river and its tributaries will aid us in limiting the pollution and litter that affects our watershed.
