Litter Committee Minutes
March 15, 2007

1. Banners: We discussed finalizing wording, locations. Wendi to run wording by board and well scope out locations (Dennis, Colesville, Long Branch?) . Well see whether the Parks Dept. will pay for 2. Jane will follow up with pricing.
2. Stormwater drainage inlet decals: Jane will tell stewards about the program, perhaps to start in May or June. More investigation is needed to decide on which decal and to set up program.
3. Sweep the Creek: We discussed how Wendi handles this. Jane offered to help with sorting and distribution of supplies.
4. Trash survey opportunity via Alice Ferguson Foundation/Anacostia Watershed Society: Ed and Wendi discussed option for this in section 9.
5. Sligo Middle School cleanup scheduled for April 22. Wendi reported on this trash hotspot and unsuccessful efforts to generate interest from past principal and PTA. Permission granted for cleanup from Director of Community
6. Use of Public Facilities–any hope of regular maintenance there? 
7. Trash vortex film: brief discussion of how/where to show this.
