Sligo Creek Parkway, at juncture with Dallas Ave
Description: Join FOSC for a bird walk, led by David Blockstein and Mary Singer. David is an ornithologist with the National Council for Science and the Environment. Mary is a longtime amateur birder who knows the springtime migrants we expect to see in this section of the park on a first-name basis.
The starting point will be the parking lot along Sligo Creek Parkway at the intersection with Dallas Ave. The parking lot is just south (downstream) from the golf course, north (upstream) from Colesville Road. The walk will meander upstream towards Forest Glen Road. The walk will occur in a sprinkle but not heavy rain.
