From Dan McCann, Environmental Specialist, MC Department of Environmental Protection:
I went out to this site and the other reported to us by Section 2 of the FOSC sweep area. Both sites reported to us appear to be naturally occurring iron bacteria. I was able to use a storm drain test kit to determine there was no chlorine, detergents or ammonia. The pH was also normal.
