Heavy red mud flowing in at Windham Lane Reported to Montgomery County Dept of Environmental Protection using [email protected] by Ann Hobbs.
Michael C. Smith also reported this event to DEP and responds,
“3:42pm Dan McCann 240-777-7743 left a message:
He inspected this afternoon (July 26).
WSSC had a water main break in front of 10804 Keller Street, near the intersection of Windham Lane and Keller. The roadway broke up, sending a lot of sediment into the storm drain.
WSSC supervisor said they would get a sweeper truck to remove sediment from the road and would look into dredging out some of the sediment that flowed into the tributary before it joins Sligo Creek.
This was an emergency (unplanned work) and WSSC did their best to clean up.”
